Louisiana Brow Lift

Your face is perhaps the most effective tool for helping you communicate your emotions and desires. With one glace, we can provide more insight into our feelings than a million words ever could. However, as lines, sagging and creases develop over the years, our expressions may mistakenly impart a sense of fatigue, sadness or anger we may not necessarily feel.

Many people in this situation opt for a brow lift to soften the effects of aging on the forehead and eyebrows. In the past, a large scar was an inevitable result of this surgery. However, newer methods utilizing the endoscope now allow our plastic surgeons in Louisiana to provide excellent results with much smaller incisions and a quicker recovery time.

A brow lift in Louisiana can help you reverse some of the most common signs of aging. To learn more about this procedure, request a consultation at The Wall Center for Plastic Surgery or call our office at (888) 791-1053 . Conveniently located in Shreveport, we serve patients from Louisiana, Arkansas, and Texas, and offer a complete array of cosmetic surgery and skin care treatments through Jade MediSpa.

Real Patient Before & After Photos

Who Needs It

The best candidate for a brow lift is someone with furrows and sagging or wrinkles on the forehead or around the eyebrows. For optimal results, a candidate should have some degree of skin elasticity. Talk with your surgeon in more detail about whether you are a candidate for the less-invasive endoscopic brow lift procedure.

Preparing for Your Louisiana Facial Plastic Surgery

When considering a brow lift, the first thing to do is consult with one of our plastic surgeons who can provide you with a realistic idea of the results based on the condition of your skin and bone structure. You may want to grow out short hair to conceal the scars as they heal. You also may want to talk with your surgeon about other facial comsetic surgery options, including eyelid surgery and face lift in Louisiana.

The Surgery

Usually performed with an endoscope (a small tube with a camera attached at the end), a brow lift only requires small incisions in the hairline that will be very inconspicuous. With the endoscope, muscles and skin are tightened, lifting the eyebrows up and creating a youthful appearance. During surgery, your doctor uses the endoscope's attached monitor to guide movements during the surgery. Not only does this mean less scarring for our Louisiana brow lift patients, but recovery time is much faster as well. Usually a forehead lift performed endoscopically requires a recovery time of less than a week, although certain activities should be avoided for several weeks until full recovery has been achieved.

If you need a traditional brow lift procedure, the steps to this surgery will be explained in detail during your consultation.

Results

After a brow lift, the entire countenance of the face will appear more refreshed and lively. The results can last for 5 to 10 years, and any scarring is usually covered by the hairline and softens over time, leaving you with natural-looking results.
