The Surgery
The procedure used to correct a patient's gynecomastia depends on whether the feminine breast appearance is caused by excess glandular tissue, unwanted fatty tissue, or both. Glandular tissue is removed primarily through the use of a scalpel, while liposuction in Louisiana is the most effective method to remove fat. In men who have excess glandular and fatty tissue, surgical excision and liposuction will be used together.
In general, male breast reduction requires very small incisions that are not very noticeable once fully healed. Often, the incisions are placed on the edge of the areola (the dark skin that surrounds the nipple) or under the arm. If a large volume of tissue is removed, some skin may need to be excised to create a tight and contoured appearance.
