Breast Lift Aftercare Instructions
Please do not remove the tape or surgical dressings for the first two days after your breast lift surgery at our practice in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Beginning on the 3rd day after your breast lift, you may remove the tape, surgical dressings, and foam from around your breasts. Throw away the tape and dressings. Keep the foam to put back on. Put on the Alyssandra bra that was sent home with you by placing it over the foam padding. Note: The precise foam configuration varies for each of our surgeons (see photos below).
You will need to wear the Alyssandra bra for 2 weeks after surgery. You can take the bra and foam on and off every day to wash as needed. The foam is best cleaned by hand and patted dry with a towel. It can also be dried with a blow drier if needed.
Beginning on day 15 after your breast lift, you can stop wearing the foam and switch to an underwire bra if it is more comfortable for you.
By 4 weeks after surgery you should be wearing an underwire bra around the clock and continue this for 1 full year after your surgery.
