Motiva Implants® silicone gel breast implants, although not commercially available in the United States, are used in more than 60 countries around the world. They were introduced in 2010, and have been used in increasing numbers in countries such as Brazil, South Korea, Germany, and Sweden.
Dr. Simeon Wall Jr. and Dr. Holly Wall have been selected as part of a small group of board-certified plastic surgeons to participate in the Motiva Implants® US Clinical Trial. We are seeking 30 women to enroll in the study of these investigational devices, which are being evaluated for FDA approval in the United States.
Are You a Candidate for the Motiva Implants Study?
It’s important to understand that this is a 10-year study that requires a significant commitment from participants. To be enrolled in the study, you must be:
- At least 22 years old
- A genetic female
- Seeking primary breast augmentation, primary reconstruction, or breast implant revision
- Willing to comply with all study requirements over the course of 10 years

There are numerous other inclusion and exclusion criteria, which are detailed in the patient brochure for study participants.
Approved participants receive some benefits from the clinical trial sponsor who commissioned the study. Participants receive their breast implants at no cost in exchange for study participation. Other associated fees, such as surgeon’s fees, facility fees, anesthesia, lab tests, etc. will not be covered. The clinical trial sponsor does compensate participants for their participation in the study, and specific compensation information is provided in the patient compensation document.
