About The Wall Center

Renowned board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Simeon Wall Sr. established The Wall Center for Plastic Surgery in 1970. He was later joined by his son, Dr. Simeon Wall Jr., and daughter-in-law, Dr. Holly Casey Wall, both board-certified plastic surgeons, forming an elite team of innovators and pioneers.

Dr. Seth Fruge joined the practice in 2025. He is the most recent graduate of The Wall Center’s prestigious aesthetic surgery fellowship training program that, for over 10 years, helps new plastic surgeons refine and master their surgical skills each year.

We genuinely care for our plastic surgery patients, following them for years, not months, to make sure they are happy, their results last, and they always feel their best.

Your Consultation

Your relationship with us begins with a consultation with one of our caring plastic surgeons. Your surgeon takes the time needed to help you feel comfortable and relaxed, addressing your questions and explaining the procedure(s) in a clear and easy-to-understand manner.

During this appointment, your surgeon:

  • Reviews your medical history, including your weight, medications, health conditions, and previous surgeries.
  • Performs a physical exam to assess your concerns.
  • Reviews the surgery and what to expect during recovery.

At the end of this appointment, a staff member reviews the cost of your procedure as well as financing options.

To meet with one of our world-class plastic surgeons, request a consultation using our online form or call (318) 795-0801 for an appointment.

Health Requirements for Plastic Surgery Eligibility

Our goal is to provide a safe and satisfying outcome that lasts; therefore, we require that patients meet the following criteria:

  • Are nicotine-free for at least a month before surgery and for at least 6 weeks after to ensure proper healing and reduce the many possible problems associated with smoking and using other nicotine products.
  • Are at a healthy weight they expect to maintain for the foreseeable future.

Your Surgery

Our surgeons perform most procedures at The Wall Center’s private ambulatory surgical center. It is certified by Medicare, accredited by QUAD A (formerly AAAASF), and licensed by the state of Louisiana. It is one of a select few triple‐certified plastic surgery centers in the country.

Depending on the extent of your procedure, we may use either local or general anesthesia. With local anesthesia, you receive a sedative to ensure you feel fully relaxed and experience no discomfort during the procedure. With general anesthesia, you are asleep throughout the surgery.

After Surgery

After your surgery, our medical staff monitors you until you are awake, alert, and comfortable before being discharged.

You may choose to stay one or more nights in our luxurious guest suites that offer all the comforts of a luxury hotel with optional overnight medical supervision.

Plastic Surgery FAQ
How do I choose a plastic surgeon?

When choosing a plastic surgeon, focus on credentials, reputation, results, and personal rapport. Be sure that the surgeon you select:

  • Is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery
  • Specializes in cosmetic plastic surgery
  • Has training and experience in the procedures you’re interested in
  • Has a variety of impressive before-and-after photos
  • Operates in an accredited, state-of-the-art surgical facility
  • Interacts with you in a way that makes you feel comfortable and understood
Do you have to be a plastic surgeon to perform plastic surgery?

No, any licensed medical doctor, including a dermatologist, OB/GYN, or general practitioner, can legally perform cosmetic surgery procedures. Only doctors who have completed a residency in plastic surgery can call themselves “plastic surgeons.”

How long is a plastic surgery residency?

Plastic surgery residencies, postgraduate programs that train doctors specifically in plastic surgery, typically last either 3 or 6 years. Here’s the difference:

  • Independent programs, which are completed after a 5-year general surgery residency, take 3 years.
  • Integrated programs combine a general surgery residency with plastic surgery training. They are started right after medical school and take 6 years.
How do you pay for plastic surgery?

Patients have the option of paying for their plastic surgery with cash, check, credit card, or through patient financing. Options like CareCredit® and PatientFi® give qualified patients the freedom to choose our highly qualified and experienced plastic surgeons without worries about financial strain.

How can I get insurance to pay for plastic surgery?

Most medical insurance only pays for procedures it considers medically necessary, such as certain instances of breast reduction, functional rhinoplasty, and upper eyelid surgery.

Why is it called plastic surgery?

The word “plastic” originates from the Greek word “plastikos,” meaning to mold or reshape, which is the goal of most plastic surgery procedures. The name has nothing to do with looking like plastic.
