Specific concerns involving the safety of breast implants have prompted extensive clinical research in recent years. Breast implant illness (BII) and breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL) are 2 distinct issues. Our surgeons want to ensure women considering breast augmentation or who already have breast implants are fully informed about BII and BIA-ALCL. We provide women with the most up-to-date scientific understanding of implants and their associated risks so patients can feel confident making decisions about their procedures.
