Who Needs It

Most commonly, breast lift patients are either mothers who feel childbirth has taken a toll on their chest, or women in their 40s or 50s who feel gravity has caused their breasts to fall. A breast lift addresses breast position and shape but will not enhance breast volume - for that, a woman will need breast enlargement. Breast lift also will not substantially decrease breast volume, and many women find they need a breast reduction to achieve both their ideal breast size and position.

Preparing for Your Louisiana Breast Lift

During your consultation, you should discuss your medical history in detail with your surgeon and tell us more about what you hope to accomplish through surgery. The Surgery

A breast lift is usually performed under general anesthesia. We use the short scar breast lift technique exclusively (also called the vertical or lollipop lift), where the incision is made around the areola and then straight down to the breast crease. This technique, which requires an especially skilled surgeon, elimates the scar that runs along the breast crease and provides a more enhanced breast shape over the traditional anchor-shaped incision.
