While the traditional dual-plane technique (commonly in use today) improves breast shape by placing implants partially under the chest muscle, while allowing the central part of the breast to expand and fill, it creates a new set of problems: implants shifting laterally (toward the armpit) and looking unnatural when the muscles flex. The shoulder’s biomechanics can also be compromised. Dr. Wall Jr. and Dr. Holly Wall recognized these shortcomings and created an approach that fixes them.
The Modified Dual-Plane Technique: Developed at The Wall Center
In 2005, Dr. Simeon Wall Jr. created the modified dual-plane technique that makes key improvements to the standard method. His approach leaves the outer part of the chest muscle intact, ensuring the implant stays ideally positioned without dropping out or shifting to the side by the arms. This next-generation technique enhances your breast augmentation results by providing:
Increased upper breast fullness that is stable over time, usually over decades, without dropping out or lateralization of the implants, problems commonly seen in traditional dual-plane and over-the-muscle techniques
Natural-looking shape, with and without muscle contraction, with an implant that is matched to the width and height of your breast, unlike “2 baseballs in your breasts” sometimes seen with traditional dual-plane techniques
Beautiful cleavage and harmony between the implant and the breast, without a “double cleavage” commonly seen in traditional dual plane techniques
Preserved shoulder strength and stability
Long-lasting, stable results, even with an active lifestyle
This muscle-sparing breast augmentation technique is now taught globally—and was perfected right here in Shreveport.

Benefits of Breast Augmentation
Your modified dual-plane breast augmentation at The Wall Center is personalized to provide the benefits you’re seeking, which may include:
Add volume to naturally small breasts for a more proportional, feminine silhouette.
Restore fullness lost through pregnancy, weight fluctuations, or aging for a youthful, fuller look.
Correct uneven breasts or reshape your bustline for improved symmetry and harmony with the rest of your figure.
Enhance cleavage for a fuller, more defined appearance in low-cut tops and swimwear.
Enjoy a renewed sense of confidence in and out of clothing.
If you would also like firmer, more uplifted breasts, our surgeons may recommend a breast lift with implants using an advanced technique Drs. Holly and Simeon Wall Jr. developed and teach to surgeons worldwide.
A Better Lift—Beautiful Shape, Minimal Scarring
Dr. Simeon Wall Jr. and Dr. Holly Wall pioneered a unique technique for combining breast lifts with implants that corrects sagging while enhancing cleavage and upper breast volume. This technique lifts the “footprint” of the breasts so the entire breasts actually sit higher on the chest, instead of just elevating the nipple as traditional lifting procedures do. With smaller scars and no need for oversized implants, it delivers lifted, full, and beautifully natural-looking results.
If you’re considering breast augmentation, you’re choosing more than a procedure; you’re entrusting your results to the surgeon who will shape your vision. Here’s why thousands of women choose The Wall Center:

Your Consultation: Let’s Create the Look You Want
Expect your consultation with Dr. Simeon Wall Jr. or Dr. Holly Wall to be welcoming, informative, and all about you. They ask about your cosmetic goals and lifestyle, perform a physical exam to assess your anatomy and proportions, and allow plenty of time to address your questions and explain the procedure in a way that’s easy to understand. Your surgeon will review your implant options, including size, profile, and type (silicone versus saline), and use 3D imaging to help you visualize possible results.
You’ll leave your consultation with a personalized surgical plan, a detailed quote with pricing and financing options, and a clear understanding of your next steps.
Meet Our Surgeons
Recognized worldwide for developing groundbreaking techniques that represent the standard of excellence in plastic surgery, our board-certified plastic surgeons earn rave reviews from patients and peers alike.
Your beautiful breast enhancement results are a given with our meticulous, refined techniques, which include:
Inframammary or transaxillary incisions: Placed discreetly in the breast fold or the armpit to conceal the tiny scar.
Keller Funnel® technique: Allows no-touch, small-incision implant placement to reduce infection risk and minimize visible scarring.
SAFELipo® of the axilla and lateral chest: Sculpts the entire frame of the breast by sculpting and removing fat near the armpit and along the sides and below the breasts.
Our surgeons use the innovative Keller Funnel® when placing silicone gel implants. The use of the funnel allows for shorter incisions and offers a “no-touch” technique that enhances the safety of the surgery by reducing the risk of infection and shortening surgical times. After the surgeon creates the implant pocket, implants are placed in the lubricated funnel and squeezed through the smaller incision and placed with precision.

Breast Augmentation FAQ
Can I breastfeed after breast augmentation?
In most cases, women can successfully breastfeed after breast augmentation, especially when performed by a highly experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon who carefully preserves the structures involved in milk production. While studies report a 10 to 15% chance that breastfeeding may not be possible after breast surgery, we find this to be quite rare, especially when patients have only breast augmentation.
Can I combine breast augmentation with other procedures?
Yes, we often combine breast augmentation with a breast lift, or with other body contouring procedures in a combination surgery known as a Mommy Makeover. This personalized combination surgery can include a tummy tuck and liposuction along with breast enhancement surgery. Even if you’re not a mom, combining procedures can save recovery time and deliver comprehensive results.
How do I choose the right size and type of implant?
A board-certified plastic surgeon with experience performing thousands of breast augmentations will guide you in choosing between the different types (saline versus silicone), shapes, profiles, and sizes of implants. Our surgeons use 3D imaging and offer in-office sizers to help you visualize your options and feel confident in your decision.
How long do implants last?
Most breast implants last at least 10 to 20 years, but they aren’t considered lifetime devices and may require replacement at some point in the future. We recommend regular check-ins and imaging to monitor your implants. We offer free lifetime ultrasound examination of all breast implants placed at The Wall Center. If issues arise or your preferences change, implant replacement or revision is always an option.
Will I have visible scars?
Breast augmentation requires incisions, so you will have scars, but they should be difficult to detect. Dr. Wall Jr. and Dr. Holly Wall typically use a small, well-concealed incision in the breast crease (inframammary fold) or armpit (axilla), which tends to heal beautifully and is hidden even in swimwear. Scar care protocols are part of your recovery plan to help ensure minimal visibility over time.
