Candidates for Deep Neck Contouring

• A naturally weak, double chin.

Isolated Neck Lift

Younger patients who want refinement without a facelift, typically women in their 30s and 40s and most men, may be candidates for isolated neck lift surgery at our practice in Shreveport, LA. This procedure focuses on refining fat distribution and tightening the underlying structures of the neck without affecting the lower face, cheeks, or eyes.

Our surgeons reserve the isolated neck lift for patients who do not have significant aging above the neck. It is performed entirely through an incision below the chin.

How Is Deep Neck Contouring Performed?

At The Wall Center, our surgeons perform deep neck contouring in our private, Medicare-certified surgery center using a general anesthetic. They carefully place incisions to conceal and minimize visible scarring. The specifics of each procedure vary, but typically include:

Once the surgery is complete, a gentle compression wrap is placed around the face and neck. Patients usually return home on the day of surgery; some stay overnight in one of our private, on-site guest suites.

What Is Recovery Like?

Recovery from deep neck contouring typically takes 1 to 2 weeks, after which patients are usually using makeup and going in public. Most patients do not develop bruising and can manage discomfort with over-the-counter or prescription pain medication.
